Faisal Ahmed

Mr.  Faisal Ahmed passed Bangladesh Civil Service examination in Foreign Affairs Cadre in 1997.  He started his career as an Assistant Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dhaka in 1998. Subsequently, he served as Senior Assistant Secretary, Director and Director General in different wings of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He served in the Bangladesh Missions abroad in different capacities; First Secretary/Counsellor in Bangladesh Embassy in Paris, France, Deputy Permanent Delegate at United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), Paris, France, Assistant High Commissioner of Bangladesh in Birmingham, United Kingdom, Deputy High Commissioner at Bangladesh High Commission in Kuala Lumpur and currently working as Consul General in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia since 26 November 2019.

Mr. Faisal Ahmed graduated from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dhaka on BSC in Engineering Electrical and Electronics and did his MBA (Masters of Business Administration) from Institute of Business Administration(IBA), Dhaka University. Later, he completed Diploma in International Cycle of Public Administration on International Relations from Ecole National d’Administration (ENA), Paris, France. He passed his Higher Secondary School Certificate and Secondary School Certificate under Dhaka Board.

Faisal Ahmed was born in the district of Sylhet, Bangladesh on 27 May 1968. He is married and blessed with two sons.
